B-R-R suggests you consider Veterans families and other listeners and clients before playing "(Four Dead In) OHIO" and other tunes inspired by riots, etc.  

But judging by the YouTube comments, this song's message still resonates today.

For decades (70s & 80s) creative Programming often involved copying successful stations in other markets. There were a couple of dozen genius PD's who came up with true original brilliance never done before. Those stations were ripped off and became cheap sound-alikes. 

Many are still doing the same slogans and branding to this day.

Many stations won't hire mature, age 50+ staffers. The 50+ format listeners demand the hosts have knowledge and understanding of the Demo. We strongly suggest finding and hiring DJ's who already done-did-it.  And they can't wait to get back on the radio! Stations ignoring this fact are run by Dum-Dum Pants.
